Zerodor Waterless Urinals

Zerodor Waterless Urinals is developed by Ekam in conjunction with IIT Delhi. The technology centered around the principle of ‘Specific gravity’ eliminates the need for flushing with water. Effluents get released through the drain, ensuring no odor remains post-urination. The mechanical valve can simply be retrofitted to any urinal pan, and there is no need to make major infrastructural changes to the urinal.

There is 80% savings on water with this hygienic, safe and low-maintenance mechanism. The product has significant potential in ensuring water conservation in urban and semi-urban regions. To date, 624 urinals have been installed across Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Punjab and Haryana saving 91 lakh liters of water, impacting over 22,000 lives.

JK Nanosolutions

JK Nanosolutions began with the idea of using nanotechnology-based treatment to convert waste water and textile effluents to potable water. This cost-effective solution and rapid methodology uses metal nanoclusters which enable treatment of waste water in one step instead of multiple steps of 3 to 4.

The Unique Selling Proposition is that the nano product is simple, rapid and low cost with very little reject water compared to existing products for domestic sewage or trade effluent treatment.

USense

“Globally, there are 150 million Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) cases reported every year, and it is believed that half of all women will contract UTI once in their lifetime.”*

The second highest infections in the human body, UTIs account for significant GP visits, placing a burden on the economy. USense, an innovative diagnostic tool is designed as a credit-card size test to detect 4 major Uropathogens that cause 96% cases of Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) in India. The convenient design shows detection of these organisms by a simple color change from blue to red. Its compact dimensions make USense portable. USense’s unique features include rapid detection in just 30-60 minutes without the need of any specialized lab equipment, training or electricity. The affordable nano fiber technology, portability and simplicity of operation give it acceptability for use in every setting.
